Privacy Policy for Lunar Rescue
Last updated: February 2025
Lunar Rescue is a solo-developed game. This policy explains what data we collect (spoiler: almost none) and how we use it. We wrote it in plain language, not legalese.
What We Collect
We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII). No names, emails, accounts, or identifiers that could be used to identify you.
The app uses Expo Insights for anonymous analytics. This may include:
- App launch events (e.g., when you open the app)
- App version and device type (e.g., iPhone, Android)
- Operating system version
This data is used only to understand basic usage patterns and improve the app. It is aggregated and does not identify you as an individual. Expo’s privacy practices: expo.dev/privacy.
Local Data (Stays on Your Device)
Progress, settings, and achievements are stored on your device only. This data never leaves your phone or tablet. If you delete the app, it’s gone.
Game Center (iOS)
If you’re signed into Game Center, your achievements may sync with your Apple ID. Apple handles that data under its own privacy policy—we don’t receive or store it.
Third-Party Services
- Expo / EAS Insights – Anonymous usage analytics (see above)
- Apple Game Center – Achievement sync on iOS; governed by Apple’s policies
- App Store / Play Store – Standard store services; governed by Apple/Google
Children
The app does not target children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided data through the app, please contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
